Kitsap County Amateur Radio Club is one of the most active and welcoming clubs on the Kitsap Peninsula. Whether you're a first-time visitor or renewing for your tenth year, you're always welcome at our nets, meetings, and events — membership isn't required to participate. It's how you help keep the club running, and it gives you an official voice in how it's run.
Why Membership Matters
Your dues directly fund the resources the whole Kitsap ham radio community relies on — not just members. That includes:
- Maintaining and upgrading the club's repeaters
- Emergency communications training and equipment
- Licensing classes, VE test sessions, and new-ham mentoring
- Field Day and other community events
- Community outreach and STEM programs
None of this depends on being a member to benefit from it — but membership is how it keeps happening.

Beyond supporting the club, its repeaters, and public outreach, paid membership gives you a direct say in how KCARC is run:
Vote
Cast a vote at club meetings and elections — help decide who leads and where the club goes.
Run for the Board
Stand for election to the Board of Directors and help set club policy and priorities.
Chair a Committee
Lead a committee — Field Day, VE testing, events, and more — and shape how it runs.

Our goal is not to exclude anyone from being a member. If financial assistance is required, please email the Board of Directors at board@kcarc.org with your request. The Board will keep your information confidential.
