Late June

Field Day

A 24-hour national emergency-preparedness exercise. KCARC sets up HF, VHF/UHF, and digital stations for the public to see and try — open to all licensed operators, including visitors from other clubs.

Early October

Hamfest

KCARC's annual swap meet — buy, sell, and trade radio gear, browse vendor tables, and meet other operators from around the region.

All year — drawing at Hamfest

Annual Raffle

KCARC's fundraising raffle runs all year, with tickets available well ahead of time. The drawing is held at noon on Hamfest day.

Third full weekend of September

Washington Salmon Run

A statewide amateur radio contest — operators work stations across Washington counties, U.S. states, and DXCC entities for points. Open to all license classes.

Thanksgiving morning

Turkey Trot Radio Support

KCARC volunteers provide communication support along the course for the Rotary Club of Silverdale's annual Turkey Trot.

Third weekend of October

Jamboree-on-the-Air (JOTA)

The world's largest Scouting event. KCARC links local Scouts with hams around the world by amateur radio — no travel required beyond a local station.

Beyond the big annual events, there's something happening almost every week.

Third Saturday, monthly

Club Meeting

Board Meeting at 9:00 AM, followed by the General Meeting at 10:00 AM, both at Abundant Life Foursquare Church. All members and visitors welcome.

Breakfast Social

Drop in anytime between 8:00–11:00 AM at the 19th Hole Bar and Grill for good food and good company — no RSVP needed.

Wednesdays & Saturdays

Club Nets

Ham net Wednesdays at 7:00 PM (146.62 repeater) and 7:45 PM (28.330 USB, 10m HF). GMRS net Saturdays at 6:00 PM (Gold Mountain repeater, Ch 17).
